NIRI South Florida invites you to attend a dinner meeting and discussion about the economic outlook in 2012 and the implications for corporate communications. What are the challenges for companies with exposures to commodities, and those with international and domestic risk? How should investor relations professionals communicate the right message to investors in 2012?

About our speaker:
Jason Schenker is one of the most accurate commodity and financial market forecasters in the world. He manages the consulting projects of Prestige Economics, LLC and is responsible for writing commentary, giving external presentations, and producing economic and market forecasts. Mr. Schenker is frequently quoted by the press, including the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and Bloomberg. Mr. Schenker regularly attends exclusive OPEC and IEF meetings, and frequently presents to central banks, governmental bodies, and industry groups. He is also a contributor to Bloomberg, Dow Jones, Reuters, and Platts Consensus surveys for economic indicators, energy, metals, and foreign exchange. Mr. Schenker has been named one of the most accurate forecasters in the world for U.S. nonfarm payrolls, as well as crude oil, natural gas, industrial metals, precious metals, aluminum, and nickel prices by Bloomberg News.

Prior to founding Prestige Economics, Mr. Schenker worked for McKinsey & Company as a Risk Specialist and Senior Consultant, where he was responsible for directing teams on six continents in numerous industries, including trading and risk initiatives in foreign exchange, rates, and over a dozen different commodities. Prior to joining McKinsey, Mr.Schenker worked for Wachovia as an investment bank economist.

Mr. Schenker holds a Bachelor’s with distinction in History and German from UVA, an MA in German from UNC Chapel Hill, and an MA in Applied Economics from UNC Greensboro. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Professional Development from UNC Chapel Hill, a Graduate Certificate in Financial Planning from Texas A&M Commerce, and a Graduate Certificate in Finance from The American College. He has earned the professional designations of ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant), ERP® (Energy Risk Professional), and CFP® (Certified Financial Planner).
